I'm really proud of Amyra. They did the assessments for the beginning of the year in November and Amyra was either meeting or exceeding standards for concepts she should know by the end of the year. She was only experiencing difficulty in writing vocabulary and recognizing 3-D shapes, but these are two areas I haven't worked with her on. She also has a tendency to talk to friends when she should be listening to instructions but I kind of like that my boo is a chatterbox and not as quiet as I was. Now I just need to refocus that chatter and remind her when it's appropriate to talk to her friends. But other than that I couldn't be prouder! And to think I was worried that she might not be able to "hang" with the Kindergartners.
