Lateef has been home since the day before Teef was born. However, we always knew that he only had three months at the most to stay home, and then he would have to start traveling for work again. Well, at the end of January his three months were up, but instead of getting another traveling gig, Lateef was offered a promotion to a Consulting Practice Manager (CPM)! So instead of traveling for work as the consultant, he now manages about 90 consultants and deals with their issues on a daily basis.
The best part about this promotion is that Lateef gets to work from home! The downside is that we miss out on all the flight/hotel/rental car miles. But in the end, I would rather have Lateef home ALL THE TIME instead of getting to spend one week a year with him going on an all-expense-paid vacation. Besides, having Lateef home all the time is like getting a mini-vacation every day. Though he works from 5am to sometimes 5pm, he always makes sure to give me time to myself to exercise or run errands. And the kids get to spend so much time with their fun dad. It's been almost 8 months now since Lateef has been home and it's been such a wonderful 8 months. We are so BLESSED!
Now that Lateef works from home, he can:
1) Take naps with his children.
2) Watch movies with the kids while they make faces at the camera on his phone.
3) He can spend quality time with Mya.
4) He can take the kids to the park whenever he wants and he can ask Mya to slide down the slide with TEEF! WTF! I don't know that I ever would have tried this.
Thankfully he looks totally fine.
