Our weekend of "Firsts" was continued on Saturday morning when Amyra played in her first ever competitive soccer game! And wow, was that an experience. Seriously, first off, they played a Coed team that had at least 4 huge Hispanic boys on the team that must have been playing since they were in the womb. Needless to say, the first half, the opponents scored at least 10 goals. The second half however, the other team was only able to score twice, so I do think the girls started to get the hang of what they were doing. Amrya said her favorite part was "protecting her house" when she was the goalie. She did do a great job defensively so that may be the best position for her.
Like seriously, does anyone believe the kid above is in first grade?
